ESIA is the identification system used by Russia's Gosuslugi portal. Since September 1, 2026, the registration rules require ESIA identification of the registered administrator of a .RU domain. The same requirement covers .SU and .РФ, including registration and renewal.
When you buy through xUID, your customer account and the identity used for domain registration are separate. We supply the registration identity for your chosen plan. You don't need to complete ESIA yourself; registry requirements still apply to the registered administrator.
The $50 Base registration keeps your personal details out of the domain registration by using a shared identity. Other registrations use that identity too.
Base suits customers who want anonymous .RU registration at the standard price. You can manage the domain through your xUID account, set its nameservers and use hosting from xUID or another provider. You don't need a paid identity option to avoid uploading your own ID.
Add $500 at registration for a registration identity dedicated to your account. The initial .RU order is $550 before any separate services.
