Set your nameservers and keep your domain renewed

To connect a .RU domain or .SU domain to your website, get the nameserver values from your hosting or DNS provider. Then check the domain’s expiration date and renewal amount in your xUID account so you can plan the next payment.

Get the settings from your hosting provider

Nameservers tell the domain which service manages its DNS. Ask your hosting or DNS provider for the exact values assigned to your account, along with any further settings your website or email needs.

In xUID, you can choose the available default nameservers or enter custom ones. Copy the values from your provider, check them for typing errors, and save the configuration. Domain registration gives your website its address; you also need hosting to run the website itself.

Check website and email after a move

Get the new provider’s setup instructions before changing your domain settings. Save a copy of the previous nameservers and record the date of the change, especially if several people work on the site.

Follow the change’s status in your account and allow time for it to take effect. Check that the website loads and that you can send and receive email if you use the domain for mail. Ask support through your account if you need help with the domain settings.

Know the renewal price and date

Use the renewal amount shown in your client area when planning your budget. Renewal pricing is separate from the original registration total.

If a team manages the domain, assign someone to approve and pay for renewals before it expires. Keep access to your account email for account and renewal messages.

Pair auto-renew with an available balance

Auto-renew uses your account balance. Keep enough funds available for the domains approaching expiration, and check that auto-renew is enabled for the names you want to keep.

You can add funds with cryptocurrency and review payments in the same account. Manual renewal is also available through the client area; if you use it, allow time to fund the account and pay before the expiration date.

Review the account each month

Check:

• Which domains are approaching expiration.
• Their current renewal totals.
• Whether auto-renew is enabled where you want it.
• Whether the account balance covers upcoming renewals.
• Any registration or nameserver change still in progress.
