FastFlux received renewed attention in April 2025 when CISA, the FBI, NSA, and international partners published a joint advisory about its use in malicious infrastructure. The advisory described frequent changes to the IP addresses associated with a domain. It also recognized that similar behavior can serve legitimate performance and availability purposes. Read the April 2025 advisory.
For a customer researching hosting, the term alone tells you too little. You still need to know what the provider supplies, how the service connects to your application, and who is responsible for keeping it working.
Buy around the workload
A website, a forum, and a custom application can need different arrangements even when each uses one domain. Describe the software you run and where your visitors are. If you already have hosting, explain which part of that setup you want to keep.
Ask the provider to separate the service it manages from the work that remains with you. That includes how to request changes and how to get help during an outage. A service description that only says “large IP pool” leaves the application side unanswered.
If you’re deciding between a virtual server and a specialist hosting service, compare the VPS specifications with the FastFlux plans. They use different measures: the VPS plans list compute and storage, while the FastFlux plans list domain allowances, IP pool tiers, and support.
Read the current plan limits
xUID’s current FastFlux Small plan costs $800/month for one domain, with a Small IP Pool and Basic Support. Medium costs $1,250/month for up to four domains, with a Big IP Pool and Medium Support. Large costs $1,800/month for up to 25 domains, with the Largest IP Pool and Premium Support. Unlimited FastFlux starts at $2,500/month. All prices are in USD.
These are today’s published prices, not a record of what services cost in 2025. Check the billing panel for further options and confirm the arrangement for your project before ordering.
Agree how continuity will work
If complaints are part of the concern, ask about the handling process and the scope of the service agreement. Keep the response route in the same operational notes as your renewal dates and the people responsible for the website.
Domain protection is a separate purchase from hosting. xUID’s Full Bulletproof Protection adds an exclusive domain identity, priority support, and complaint handling within the service agreement. Selecting FastFlux doesn’t automatically add that domain protection to your registration order.
VPS from $400/month. FastFlux from $800/month.
